Saturn is a an outer planet because the Asteroid Belt is dividing it from the first four planets that are closest to the sun: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Those four planets are the inner planets. You can also identify if it is an outer or inner planet by figuring out there surface or what they are made out of. You can call Saturn “Gas Giant”

Saturn reaches about 36,184 miles! That is 9 times the size of Earth! Saturn is the second largest planet after Jupiter!
