PPR is a notifiable disease in JORDAN
The last outbreak of PPR in Jordan was in 2005.

Animal Health Status MOA provide free services to the farmers to vaccinate their livestock against five major Animal Diseases that are considered endemic in Jordan (FMD, PPR, Anthrax, Pox, Brucellosis)

Animal Health Status Peste des petits ruminants (PPR)
Jordan is declared officially free from Rinderpest in 2006. PPR vaccine is currently used in small ruminants annually (at age 3 months then annually) Pestevac which is locally produced ► attenuated homologous live vaccine (strain PPR Nig 75/1)

- Legislation Surveillance and prevention program Notification and Reporting Diagnostic capacity at central lab in Amman Capacity building (Training for vets and technicians).
