2 consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.
2 - The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.

3 3 - The kidney functions to remove metabolic wastes from the blood and excrete them. They also help regulate blood pressure, pH of the blood, and red blood cell production.

4 4 - The nephron The basic functional unit of the kidney is the nephron. The nephron consists of a renal corpuscle and a renal tubule. Urine is the end product of the urinary system.

9 9 - The bladder stores urine and forces urine into the urethra. Muscle fibers in the wall of the bladder form the detrusor muscle.
