1965 Amendment required US Department of Health, Education and Services to create and enforce 1970 Amendments required comprehensive state and federal regulations for both stationary and mobile sources of air pollution 1977 Amendments concerned with states that were not national objectives as to auto emissions and measures to prevent air quality deterioration in areas where to air had been previously cleaned 1990 Amendments addressed acid rain, ozone depletion, and toxic air pollution
