2 Today, Elias is having the best day
Today, Elias is having the best day. He is playing with all of his favorite toys.

3 Yesterday, Elias was not having the best day
Yesterday, Elias was not having the best day. He had to wait in a long line at the store. He hates long lines.

4 On the best days and the bad days and all the in-between days, Elias listens to something very important.

5 Elias listens to his body
Elias listens to his body. His body talks to him and helps him understand how he feels.

6 When Elias is playing, his body might tell him he is excited with a fast heartbeat, or tired with a yawn.

7 When he is waiting in a long line, his body might tell him he is bored with a wiggle or mad with a stomp.

8 Sometimes, Elias can’t figure out how he is feeling
Sometimes, Elias can’t figure out how he is feeling. Especially, with new things and people.

9 Listening to his body talk, will help him figure out how he is feeling
Listening to his body talk, will help him figure out how he is feeling. This is called meditation.

10 Elias finds a comfy seat
Elias finds a comfy seat. He uses balloon breath to pop his thinking bubbles. With a quiet brain, he is ready to listen to his body talk.

11 He listens to his feet and his toes. He listens to his legs
He listens to his feet and his toes. He listens to his legs. He listens to his belly. His belly moves up and down with his breath.

12 He listens to his fingers and his arms. He listens to his heartbeat

13 He listens to his mouth and his teeth. He listens to his eyes
He listens to his mouth and his teeth. He listens to his eyes. He listens to his brain. Is it filling up with thinking bubbles?

14 After a few minutes, Elias can tell what his body is saying
After a few minutes, Elias can tell what his body is saying. He knows more about how he is feeling.

16 Body Talk Meditation Find a comfy seat Begin balloon breathing
Pop your thinking bubbles Listen to your feet and toes. What do they feel like? Listen to your legs. Are they wiggly or still? Listen to your belly. Is it moving up and down? Listen to your hands and arms. Are they wiggly or still? Listen to your heart. Is it beating fast or slow? Listen to your mouth and teeth. Are your teeth closed tight or loose? Listen to your eyes. Do they want to stay closed or open? Listen to your brain. Is it quiet or full of bubbles?
