1 IEEE 802.20 Interference Environment
Informative addendum to contribution C Dan Gal Berlin, September 14, 2004

2 Interference Environment
The signal at the input of the receiver consists of signals received from: The wanted transmitter at the wanted channel Transmitters operating in the same channel (co-channel signals) Leakage power from adjacent channels (generated by the co-tower/antenna transmitters and other nearby towers) Transmitters operating in second-adjacent channels (generating blocking signals) Other external RF interference sources Non-linear and spurious transmission products IEEE Contribution # C addendum 2

3 ACLR, Selectivity and Blocking
F4 F5 F1 – Wanted Channel F2 F3 -70dBm F1 – Wanted Channel F2, F3 – Adjacent Channels F4, F5 – Blocking Channels -70dBm -90dBm IEEE Contribution # C addendum 3
