1 Year 4 Puffins Welcome Meeting

2 We appreciate your support, patience and understanding.
Welcome to Year 4 Mrs Coleman (Class Teacher) and Mrs Prue(TA support). Mrs Eller will also be on the Junior site, with Year 3. Information within this presentation may be subject to change, but you will be updated of any changes that will affect you and your child. We appreciate your support, patience and understanding.

3 School Routine Morning Break End of Day – 3:15pm
Children are encouraged to come into school on their own in the mornings to enable them to become increasingly independent. Playground gate will open at 8:45 am and the children will come straight into school. Any messages can be handed as a note to the adult at the gate or to the school office. Break Water and Snack (children to bring their own) End of Day – 3:15pm Collect from Year 4 classroom door. Mrs Coleman should be available everyday.

11 ‘Water, Water, Everywhere!’
Autumn Term ‘Water, Water, Everywhere!’ Literacy Stories and Poems relating to water. Classics e.g. Treasure Island (Please ensure versions are age appropriate) Geography Geographical features Rivers and Oceans Languages Learning basic French. Science Water cycle Art Picture: The Great Wave off Kanagawa Watercolours Design and Technology. Design a water bottle Harvest.

14 Pencil Cases Equipment list:
Pencil Case (sensible size to fit in draws) 1 x white rubber (from school) 1 x ruler (Can be 15cm or 30cm) 1 x simple pencil sharpener HB pencils Colouring crayons/pencils Felt tips (Optional – no gel pens) Glue stick Note: If children choose to bring in pencil cases they are for their own use and no one else. School will not be responsible for any damage or loss of resources. Any unauthorised items brought into school will be confiscated. They will only be returned when requested by a parent.

15 Book bags Book bags will be sent home on Friday, containing: New reading books, homework and spellings. Letters may be given to children each day, but will be put in book bags if given out on a Friday. Children can also select a Library Book each week (optional). Note: All our books are brand new and therefore we will have to charge if the books go missing. (Charge: Cost on the back of book) * Please look out for photo consent forms and update any collection information.

19 Behaviour Good to be Green Green card – agreed behaviour/expectations
Class behaviour is compiled from pupil suggestions and agreed by the whole class. Green card – agreed behaviour/expectations Verbal reminder Yellow card – visual warning Red card – consequence Every day’s a fresh start!
