In 1989 the Department of Education became the School of Education and plans were created for new building to replace old Education building Textbook resources/materials were scattered across campus (Campus Courts, Matthews Hall, ENAD, Student Services Annex, etc.) In 1990 Bob Kane and Jerry Krockover encouraged the faculty to consolidate educational materials into a Teacher Resource Center housed in Wetherill Hall, creating the original TRC. Textbook adoption began to take place in the Teach. Res. Ctr. In 1991 Marilyn Haring became dean of the School of Education and worked with faculty to rename the Teacher Resource Center to the Technology Resources Center. The original plan was to eliminate the books… but the books are popular!
