The aim of this meeting:
A transparent overview of the current transport situation
Understand the requirements of parents and students
Collate the opinions of all stakeholders
Find a solution to meet the needs of students travelling everyday from Lichfield and Tamworth

3. Student Transport – In numbers
210 of 238 students travel using Solus coaches
3x Coaches from Tamworth and 1x Coach from Lichfield daily
2x Late buses (Tuesday & Thursday) – School pays cost
A 10 day pass costs £23 + school time (£2.30 per trip)
Termly £270 (£2.10 per trip)
Yearly £760 (£2.00 per trip)
School has issued 8,150 weekly passes in 6 months

4. Student Transport – Solus Coaches
Our school serves 5x different boroughs, Staffordshire is the only
LA who do not provide a transport service.
Service provided by Solus Coaches is Non-contracted and have
ownership of the current routes
Bespoke service – Multiply drops and collections
Transport providers have made changes without liaison with the school or
parents.
The Impact on school to administer provider changes is significant.
