3. Questionnaire Following October EAF and Workshop
Finalised and sent to MS on December, 20th
Accepted answers until February,16th
Designed to collect relevant information on chemical substances of concern for water
A compilation of all the lists of substances of concern at EU level in order to help MS .

4. The questionnaire, benchmark values
EQS and Benchmarks : EQS should correspond to legally binding values, whereas Benchmarks do not (these are typically informal guideline values or draft EQS).
ELV : emission limit values
Exceedence (of EQS// good status): to help the identification of substances to be considered for the future EU wide monitoring programme.

5. The questionnaire, data monitoring aspects
'yes' means : monitoring data available for the given substance from 2000 to 2006
Category of metadata : 'yes' means that metadata are available (at least category 1, as defined in the "template"),
Missing elements : was meant to help improvement of the data collection template before the data collection exercise.
