In order to secure professional and accurate installation and maintenance
work it is imperative that the competence of the service personnel is well
maintained and up to date.
The training center in Ludvika provides hands-on and theoretical training for
all SF6 circuit breakers.
The training program is designed to meet all relevant different competence
levels required to secure and even extend circuit breaker lifespan.
Level A = Installation & pre-commissioning
Level B = Preventive maintenance and inspection
Level C = Overhaul & Life extension

Frequently asked questions by customer ?
Where is the training held?
In our training center in Ludvika Sweden.
Is it possible to have training on site?
Yes, however training on factory premises is always recommended.
On site there are several limitations to what we can do due to the fact
that the breaker is normally going to be put into service. That will limit
training in trouble-shooting and assembly training.
If you do have an actual case where a maintenance, overhaul or
installation is planned, we can offer supervision to train service
personnel.
Do you issue a certificate after training?
No, the factory does not certify customers. We do however issue a
diploma stating attendance and contents of the training course.
Are there any pre-requirements?
First of all there are safety requirements the training contains work on
mobile platforms, work on height, work with lifting devices which all
require adequate training. If this is not obtained before the training
course the attendee will not be able to acquire relevant parts of the
training.

Are there any pre-requirements?
English in reading writing and spoken language.
For level A an electromechanical education is recommended.
For level B Level A or equivalent is required.
For level C level B or equivalent is required.
PPE?
All personal protective equipment is provided during the training
course such as:
Helmet
Protective clothing
Shoes with steel tip and bottom
Harness for work on height
Protective gloves
Is there an available training program to review?
At the moment the training program is distributed 2 times per year and
includes dates and training course description. Please contact you
local ABB representative for the current training program.
Is it possible to receive customized training?
Customized trainings can be offered. Please send a request for quote
to your local ABB representative. The lead time for customized training
can be quite long.
