Emergency Distress Call
Aaron Roudabush
2
What it is A typical cell phone that will call the local emergency services dispatcher in the event of a crash, as in a motor vehicle accident.
3
What it’s Good For This device would decrease the amount of time it takes for emergency responders to get to the scene of automobile accidents, thereby potentially saving lives.
4
How it Works The phone could have an interface with the car so that when the car gets seriously damaged, for example, if the crumple zone is used for that purpose, the phone knows it, and calls the dispatcher, telling them your location and situation as an automated message. It could have a little holder, like the one pictured above, so it can sit on the dashboard. This container could act as part of the crash sensing system, and recharge the phone to boot. Or maybe the product should be the holder device that performs the same operation, but will work with any phone.

What Is Present In Today’s Market? .
OnStar currently offers a similar service. However, there are some fundamental differences.
6
The two major differences are that my system is automated, if you get into a crash, you don’t need to push a button or talk to someone. So, in my system, help will be called even if you are unconscious, or unable to reach such a device, as happens in emergencies.
8
The other major difference is that my system is extensively hardwired into the car itself. You don’t need to doctor your car to receive these services. In fact, the whole system can be interchanged between cars quite easily. You can even bring it with you if you use a rental car after flying somewhere.
