You could say that these are some of the buzz-words at the moment, but they are all very topical in both NHS, social care and community settings and a lot of work is being done in Lincolnshire to develop these agendas.

8. Key principles? Quality Standards should:
Aim to offer statutory services an element of reassurance when making referrals
Offer advantages to Voluntary Sector organisations on which they can capitalise and develop sustainability
Support Voluntary Sector organisations to grow and develop
Recognise the diversity and strengths of the Voluntary Sector
Be accessible to all Voluntary Sector organisations regardless of size and nature

9. Key principles? Quality Standards should not: Be an arduous process
Be an arduous process
Be seen as a guarantee of quality and safety
Prevent referrals to those who have yet to reach the standards
Become focussed on the process and not the outcomes
