TEST DAY TIPS No studying the night before- GET REST!
If unfamiliar with test location, drive-by at some point in the week leading up to the test. Check collegeboard.com for required ID and acceptable calculators. No mechanical pencils (Bring two number 2 pencils) No sugar or empty carbs (you don’t want to crash 2.5 hours in). Breakfast of oatmeal, granola, trail mix, etc. is good for energy Bring tissues, water, granola, a mini pencil sharpener, eraser, and wear a zip hoodie (easy to adjust based on room temp) Bring a wristwatch with hands. Every section reset it to 12:00. That way you can tell at a glance how much time you have left- good for pacing without burning seconds figuring out time remaining. DON’T PANIC- Confidence from preparation, and Breathing Exercises should reduce stress. 11/18/2018

TEST Preparation I. Test Prep is a Must! II. Use The Right Materials
Tests are timed so content has to be fresh. Test questions are different from how material is tested in school. Tests are of extended duration. Stamina needs to be built up with Practice. II. Use The Right Materials It is best to use Practice Questions made by the Test Maker. Make sure Practice Tests are Accurately Timed. Make sure you are using All of your resources. Collegeboard and ACT Inc provide resources on their websites. III. Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute Set a schedule and Stick To It! Best to start prepping at least 1-2 Months before Test Day. Take Practice Tests at regular intervals leading up to Test Day. A Class is not a necessity, but it can help keep you on track. 11/18/2018
