8 Changes to Target Setting and Reporting

9 1 is the magic number!

10 Every student will achieve a P8 score of +1

11 Why have this? If students achieve this target their results will ensure they have access to any future pathway they aspire to If every student achieves this aspirational target WLA will be in the top 10 schools nationally It enables annual adjustments as we learn more about new KS2 and KS4 outcomes; keeping our targets inline with national achievement

12 How are they calculated?
FFT Aspire top 5% predictions Removal of any national limiting difference weighting (PP and gender) Checked by WLA to ensure all students are on track to achieve P8=+1

13 Benefits Based on national data set
Reflective of national subject performance Same methodology as the highest performing schools Updated inline with national changes and performance

14 Data collections (KS3) All students receive a numerical GCSE target
At each data collection one of the five (yr. 7) or six (yr. 8) potential outcomes is selected Decision based on evidence driven assessment linked to KS4 curriculum embedded into KS3 skills Yr 7 Yr 8 7/8/9 8/9 7/8 5/6 3/4 1/2 Working below
