In conducting the MAP review, the Tax Code authorizes the Comptroller to access all records and reports of the appraisal district. The complexity of the MAP review process and the large number of appraisal districts under review requires that appraisal districts provide the information requested in a timely manner or have it available when the reviewer is onsite. If the information is not available to the reviewer timely, the answer to the corresponding question(s) will be a “No.”

Onsite Data and Access The types of documents and systems to be accessed will be discussed as we go through the questions. It is important to have the data from the onsite data list ready to be accessed when the MAP reviewer arrives at the appraisal district.
