This is when a person becomes a target of verbal and physical abuse because they are from a particular background. It is a hatred of people because they belong to a different religious group.

There is hatred and tension, and communities become divided into “us” and “them”.
When people refuse to mix
and fail to communicate they
cannot get to know each other.
Instead they become fearful and
suspicious. This often results in
tension and violence.
