1 Student Workers, Part-Time, Temp, Full-Time Hourly
Kronos Helpful Hints Student Workers, Part-Time, Temp, Full-Time Hourly

2 To access Kronos, you will go to https://lipscomb.kronos.net.
(The best browsers are Mozilla Firefox & Internet Explorer) Your log in will be your Network username & Network password (case sensitive). After 3 unsuccessful attempts at logging in, your account is locked and you will need to contact Diana Staley or Wanda Easter to unlock.

3 2. Then, you will click ‘Record Timestamp’.
If you have multiple positions, you will need to select your job title before you timestamp. Click the drop down box under “Transfer”. (Do NOT select the job title on your “out” punch. Only the “in” punch.) 1. You will select the correct job title for the position you are clocking in for. FYI If you do not have multiple positions, you can click the “Record Timestamp” button to record in & out times without selecting a job title. 2. Then, you will click ‘Record Timestamp’. Click “Record Timestamp” button to record in & out times. Your stamp is acknowledged by the message above the button and saved automatically. Click “Refresh” button on the timecard to see the timestamp. *It is very important that you select a job title when you clock in for a shift when you have multiple positions.

4 If you need to search for your job title:
In order to select a job title, you will need to search for it under ‘Transfer’.

5 If you are not sure of your job title, you can find these on the bottom of your homepage in Kronos.

6 If you forget to clock in or out for a shift:
A missed punch will appear as a solid red block on your timecard indicating you failed to timestamp. Notify your Kronos manager or direct supervisor of the missed punch so they can correct that as soon as possible. You should continue to “Record Timestamp” regardless of an earlier missed punch. Your timecard will update when the correction is made by your manager. Be sure to share the correct job title with your manager for the shift so this can be added if the ‘in’ punch was missed.

7 Entering sick, vacation, birthday or other leave:
Please ensure your total hours for the week do not exceed 40 hours when using any leave category. Remember to “SAVE” after entering leave. 1. Select type of leave from drop down box in “Pay Code” column. 2. Enter the amount you want to use in the “Amount” column. (You can type a number here) 3. Edits to your timecard should include a comment. (This is beneficial for audit purposes.) 4. Right click in the “Amount” box. The following pop up box will appear. Click on “Comments”.

8 What To Do At The End Of The Pay Period:
Approvals are required at the end of each pay period by the employee as well as the manager (due by 9am on the following Monday). Edits should be completed before the timecard is approved.

9 Important Information:
State law requires that each employee scheduled to work six (6) consecutive hours must have a thirty (30) minute lunch or rest period...Title (h)
