3. Extreme weather can be cool and fun to learn about, but it also causes “hazards.”
A hazard is a danger or a threat to people and animals.

4. Today, we are going to look at some examples of extreme weather and the people whose lives have been impacted.

This is more of a descriptive video that lays out the problems caused by the flooding - I was thinking that maybe we could have students brainstorm how these problems could affect children who live there. IT IS MOST EFFECTIVE TO PLAY UP TO 2:20, WHERE THEY MENTION THAT SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN CLOSED.
