2 The Flowering Plant Flowering plants consist of a shoot and a root.
The shoot consists of the stem, leaves, buds and flower

3 The Root The function of the root are:
To anchor the plant in the ground To absorb water and minerals from the soil To store food

4 The Stem The Functions of the stem: Supports the leaves and flowers
Transports water and minerals up and down the plant

5 The Leaf The functions of the leaf:
To produce food and Oxygen by the process of photosynthesis To allow the exchange of gases To lose water vapour

6 The Flower The Flower is for reproduction.
It contains the male and female sex organs that make seeds.
