Finding the Missing Remnants: A Low Frequency VLA Survey of the Galactic Plane from l =+4° to +23°
C. L. Brogan (IfA), B. M. Gaensler (CfA), Y. Gelfand (CfA), M. S. E. Roberts (McGill), T. J. Lazio (NRL), & N. E. Kassim (NRL) SNR: G HII: W33 HII: W31 SNR: W28 SNR: W30 SNR: G SNR: G HII: M17 HII: M16 VLA 330 MHz mosaic composed of C+D configuration data. The resolution is 3’x2’ and the rms noise is ~50 mJy/beam. The mosaic is made up of 14 separate pointings, 3 from the VLA archive (regions near W28, W30, and G ). When both resolution and sensitivity are considered together this image is superior to any previous survey of this part of the Galactic plane for n < 2 GHz. So far we have more than 20 new SNR candidates!
