4. Steps for scientific notation
Locate a number between 1 and 9
Put a decimal where appropriate to make that number
Count the number of spaces to the end of the number
Always write x 10 and the exponent which is the number of spaces
Neg. exponent = smaller # and to the left
Pos. exponent = bigger # and to the right

5. Examples 600 = 0.007 = 4 678 000 = 0.000 152 = Solutions
