Prophets: Spokesman/ proclaimer with a divinely focused message to the church and/or the world; a person who is uniquely gifted with divine insight of God’s revelation for correction, edification, and warning. Manifestation of the Spirit of God— not of intellect Ephesians 4:7-16 Amos 3:7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

Evangelists: special gift of proclamation and witnessing in a way that brings unbelievers to salvation; productive instruments in soul winning, leading the church in doing so as well. Evangelists do not always stay in one locale Acts 21:8 says Philip is an evangelist. Acts 8:5-13: Philip’s gift manifested Ephesians 4:7-16

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 1 …When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
