1 COMPARATIVES - SUPERLATIVES
We use comparatives to compare two things or two people. Superlatives are used to compare more than two things or more than two people.

2 Paris is the biggest city in France.
COMPARATIVES SUPERLATIVES She is taller than Mick Jagger. Paris is the biggest city in France.

3 SYLLABLES To form comparatives and superlatives you need to know the number of syllables in the adjective. Syllables are like "sound beats", they are measured by the beats created by vowel sounds. Now we will watch a video, explaining how to count the syllables.

Ex. : Short => shorter If short vowel : double the consonant + er Big => bigger Two or more syllables : add « more » before adjective Ex: drunken => more drunken boring => more boring
