Your reason for choosing this subject of study should be due to the fact that you are: A HIGH LEVEL PERFORMER Or HAVE A VERY KEEN INTEREST IN SPORT AND UNDERSTAND THAT THIS COURSE WILL COVER A LOT OF THEORY INFORMATION WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO DEEPEN YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF.

3 The expectations on you when choosing Higher are:
You must bring your PE kit to all practical lessons, even if you are injured and unable to participate All deadlines for Homework and internal assessments must be met. If you are choosing to be assessed practically outwith the curriculum practically you must let me know ASAP The relationship between practical to theory will not always be 50/50, especially as we move towards prelims and the final exam!

In order to sit the final exam you must: Achieve a higher practical performance grade in 2 activities Pass the unit Assessment (FIP) for the course, which focuses on Factors Impacting performance. This will take the form of an investigative approach where you will produce a portfolio of evidence, which demonstrates you have passed this unit of the course. This will be an ongoing process throughout the year and you WILL be required to work independently to contribute to the collection of evidence which supports you have passed this unit.
