2 About Boots to Business
Boots to Business (B2B) is an entrepreneurial education and training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense's Transition Assistance Program (TAP). B2B provides participants with an overview of business ownership and is open to transitioning service members (including National Guard and Reserve) and their spouses.

4 What You Will Experience
Assistance in exploring business ownership or other self-employment opportunities Instruction on business basics and techniques for evaluating the feasibility of participant’s business concepts and foundational knowledge required to develop an actionable business plan Introduction to SBA resources available to access start-up capital, technical assistance and contracting opportunities Connection to resources in participant’s local communities

5 Eligibility Open to service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserves, and their spouses. Length Step 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship, 2-Day Course Step 2: Two 3-week courses with a 2-week rest period

6 Step One - A two-day TAP Entrepreneurship Track workshop
Step One - A two-day TAP Entrepreneurship Track workshop. Industry experts, top university professors and representatives from SBA lead the course. The curriculum for the two-day B2B course consists of eight modules, including entrepreneurial mindset, financing, business plan development, franchising, market analysis, and the legal issues associated with business ownership.

7 Step Two - After completion, participants wanting to pursue business ownership are encouraged to engage in follow-on services provided by SBA such as an online course offered by a consortium of entrepreneurship professors and practitioners or using other SBA resources, such as local SBA District Offices or the SBA network of Veterans Business Outreach Centers at:
