B) Connect the lamp to the power supply so as to energize the lamp C) Control the light emitted by the lamp D) Change the quality of the light produced E) Provide shielding to prevent glare F) Protect the lamp and control gear in hostile environment G) Provide a fixture of satisfactory appearance H) Protect users from dangerous radiation and/or from flying pieces of lamps that rupture violently K.F.
