Reflection: when a wave hits a surface and bounces back
Law of Reflection: the angle of incidence = the angle of reflection

Refraction: when a wave enters a new medium at an angle, one side changes speed before the other… causing it to bend Waves move through different mediums at different speeds.

Diffraction: when waves bend and spread out around barriers or through openings
