2 An activity to find out what your learners already know
Let’s get used to chopsticks What to do… Find a pair of chopsticks or alternative objects i.e. similar size pens or pencils. Hold the chopsticks in your dominant hand. Try to pick up objects of your choice. Reflection On the Web Board (Red Group Activity #1), tell which items you were able to pick up and share your previous experience in using chopsticks with others. 4 An activity that gives learners an opportunity to practice
It’s snack time!! What to do… Please join an Elluminate session with 3 different types of treats available to you i.e. Smarties, gumdrops, popcorn ,cheesies etc. In this Elluminate session, you will be asked to pick up as many of your favorite treats as you can in One minute. Let’s find out who is the winner!! Smarties: 5 points Gumdrops : 3 points Cheesie/Popcorn: 1 point Congraduations You have achieved the level of : You can do it ( below 5 points) Almost there ( 5 to 10 points) Good to go (above 10 points) Reflection On the Web Board, report your results to Red Group Activity #3. An activity that gives learners an opportunity to practice

Show us learning is happening What to do… Take a video or photo of yourself using chopsticks and post it on the Web Board (Red Group Activity #4). If you are having technical difficulties posting a photo/video, feel free to contact us. An activity to give you feedback… Is learning happening?

Lets put this into a real life situation What to do… Have a meal with a friend and provide chopsticks as an option for eating the meal. Teach your friend how to use chopsticks. Reflection On the Web Board (Red Group Activity #5), reflect on your experience: Were you able to eat your whole meal with the chopsticks? Please go to Red Group Activity #6. An activity to evaluate learning in a real-world context

Show someone else how to use the chopsticks Reflection On the Web Board (Red Group Activity #6), reflect on whether or not your friend from activity #5 was able to successfully use the chopsticks. Was it easy to teach them using the techniques you had learned from the previous activities? An activity to reflect on the learning
