2 Lesson 12-Bumper Pull Trailer
In this exercise, you will learn to 2D Sketch Rectangle, Adding Structural Members, Extrude, Fillet, Trim Extend, Body-Move/Copy, Chamfer

3 Select and Sketch a Corner Rectangle on the Vertex

4 Use the Smart Dimension, to set the rectangle at 240” length

5 Use the Smart Dimension, to set the rectangle at 82” wide

6 Insert a vertical line inside the rectangle

7 Use the Smart Dimension, to space the joist from the edge of the frame

8 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 3 X 2-0.5”, Select all four lines of the frame, Setting-Miter After the metal is Selected, zoom in verify that all metal is in the right position, you may have to use the mirror profile before click the green check

9 Verify the correct metal placement

10 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 3 X 2-0.5”, Select the Joist of the frame, Verify the Joist location also

11 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your Joist to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 8, Be sure you have the translate and rotate function Up, not the constraints, click on the translate and put in X of 24” / -24, depending on the placement in conjunction of the vertex

12 FACE TO APPLY Insert your upright, select the sketch line, click on the face to apply and draw a vertical line

13 Set Dimension

14 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched vertical line -Upright

15 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your Upright to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 8, Be sure you have the translate and rotate function Up, not the constraints, click on the translate and put in X of 24” / -24, depending on the placement in conjunction of the vertex

16 Insert your upright, select the sketch line, click on the face to apply and draw a vertical line

23 Sketch a line, from the center of first joist

24 Sketch the following lines from the end of the second joist to the top of the recently sketched line

25 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 3 X ”, Select the recently sketched angle lines line -tongue

26 Sketch line connecting the front uprights, to make your top rail

27 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

28 Sketch line connecting the side uprights, to make your top rail

29 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

30 Proceed to move both top rails by using Move/copy command

31 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your Top rail to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Translate and X of -0.80

32 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your Top rail to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Translate and X of 0.30

33 Sketch a rectangle connecting the angle iron top rail and then extrude @ 0.125

34 Fillet outside edge @ Radius of 1”

35 Zoom out and in complete other side’s top rail

36 Zoom out and in compete other side’s top rail

37 Zoom out and in complete other side’s top rail

38 Sketch a line connecting the upright to the frame of trailer

39 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

40 Go to Weldments, and select your Trim and Extend function , bodies to be trimmed is the upright and the trimming boundary is your top rail

42 Sketch a line connecting the upright to the frame of trailer

43 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

44 Go to Weldments, and select your Trim and Extend function , bodies to be trimmed is the upright and the trimming boundary is your top rail

46 Sketch a line from the end of the angle top rail to the frame
Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

48 Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched line- top rail

49 Sketch a line along the frame, to become a reference point to set your axles

50 Sketch a circle on the end of the recently sketched line

51 Sketch a vertical line down from the center of the circle and set @ 8”

52 Use move entities, to move circle to eight inches down

53 Extrude the 84”

54 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your extruded circle to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 1, Be sure you have the translate and rotate function Up, not the constraints, click on the translate and put in X of 32” / -32, depending on the placement in conjunction of the vertex

56 Sketch a Circle from the center of the axle
Se at 16”

57 Extrude Circle to 6”

58 Insert another circle set @ 11”
Extrude Circle to 6.8”

59 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your extruded circles to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 1 Be sure you have the translate and rotate function Up, not the constraints, click on the translate and put in X of 32” / -32, depending on the placement in conjunction of the vertex

60 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your extruded circles to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 1 Be sure you have the translate and rotate function Up, not the constraints, click on the translate and put in Z of 88.60” / , depending on the placement in conjunction of the vertex

61 Insert the two circles, in the center of the already extruded circles , set @ 4”

62 Extrude Circles to a depth of 1”

77 Zoom out to sketch and place fender backings

78 Zoom In to sketch and place fender backings- 3D LINE SKETCH

79 Extrude sketched backing @ 0.50

80 Move / Copy backing to other side of trailer and then axles and tires will need to moved up and back in

81 Rotate, zoom in and to zoom to area which will allow you to sketch a corner rectangle on the following face Set at 81”

82 Extrude rectangle at 240”

85 Rotate to the front to Add Front Up rights, Jack, Hitch
Insert your upright, select the sketch line, click on the face to apply and draw a vertical line Go to Weldments, and select your structural members, proceed to select the following options in the property manger, Ansi Inch, Angle Iron, 2 X ”, Select the recently sketched vertical line -Upright

86 Go to your Menu Bar, and go to Insert, Surface, Move/Copy, Proceed to your property manager and complete the following options: Click on your Upright to apply in the Highlighted Table, Click on Copy, and put in 2, X= 1.5”, other side X= -1.5”

87 Sketch line on face of tongue
Extrude 3”

88 Sketch a Circle at the Edge of the triangle

89 Extrude 2”

90 Move/Copy X= 0.6” 0.6”

91 Insert a Circle at the reference point set it at 2”

92 Extrude Circle one direction @ 8”
And the other 6”

93 Flip by Rotating trailer and sketch a circle in the center of recently extruded circle, set at 1.75

95 Zoom in on recently extruded circle
Sketch a Corner Rectangle @ center of 1.68” and 1.83”

97 Move/Copy part to X= -1.65

98 Chamfer ends @ 0.10 and 61 degrees
Fillet side 0.10

99 0.75 Insert the following sketch , Digestion are 3.03 2.22 4.84 0.75 5.76 Sketch Circle center, 0.94, 0.70
