Have Electronic Equipment to Surplus?
iOS devices – Make sure you remove the Apple ID and erase all content and settings. Just a reminder For advice on wiping data from servers with RAID configurations or any system with solid-state drives (SSD), you should contact your department's IT representative or the ITSO The Information Technology Security Office (ITSO) has a page with guidelines for preparing computers prior to sending them to surplus. If you encounter any other questions as you attempt to meet these guidelines, contact Division of Information Technology | it.vt.edu

Join in building the IT Service Catalog
Implementation is proceeding quite well; the catalog improves the way that users find and request IT services. Currently, there are 90+ Requestable and Self-Service entries in the catalog. Since March 2016 – March 2017 we’ve handled service requests! We need your help and collaboration to continue expanding the services that are offered to our users. If you are interested in adding university-level IT services to the public-facing Service Catalog, or if you have questions or feedback, please contact: Anne Sheppard at: Thanks! Our most-requested services include: Antivirus (Symantec Endpoint Protection) Classroom Video Capture (Echo 360) Global Qualified Web Server Certificates Hokies ID: Sponsored Sponsored PID Endpoint Manager (IBM BigFix) Interactive Video Conferencing (Recurring) Large Scholar Project Site Download VT PACE Accounts Sponsored PID Renewal and many more… I think we should aim for one slide. That slide could name the most-requested services, possibly, to show people what we know is in there and popular, if we want to give a sense for services? The SC is building up quite nicely and is improving service We want more collaboration and entries from distributed IT Who should they contact if they want to start adding items to the SC Where to find the SC Find the IT Service
