THE BOOK OF JONAH …reaching those that you don't want to reach

2 (Jon 1:1) Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
(Jon 1:2) Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

3 THE BOOK OF JONAH The God of all People

4 (Mat 28:19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Mat 28:20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

5 (Mat 5:43) Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. (Mat 5:44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

(Jon 1:2) Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

11 (Act 1:8) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

12 (Act 13:1-3) Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

14 (Jon 1:1) Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

15 Nineveh was the capital Assyria (Gen10:11)
In the time of Jonah, the city was the largest in the world. A city of 60 mile circumference. (285 is 63 miles) 120 small children (4:11) making the population around 600,000 to 1 million The city was filled with wickedness and demonic activity

16 (Nah 3:1-7) Woe to the bloody city
(Nah 3:1-7) Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not; The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots. The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses: Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock. And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?

17 The kings of Nineveh were famous for wiping out whole cities and making pyramids with the skulls of the people They would damn up rivers with there bones of the people they would conquer Would burn down cities with the women and children still in them They would cut the hand off of the kings they conquered and nail them to the walls while their bodies were left to the wild dogs

22 (2Pe 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

28 (Jud 1:22) And of some have compassion, making a difference:
(Act 17:30) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Jud 1:22) And of some have compassion, making a difference:

29 (1Co 9:19-23) For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
