% yield = (actual yield / theoretical yield) x 100%
Bellringer 2/23 Al(OH) HCl H2O + AlCl3 You will start with 14.0 grams of aluminum hydroxide. How many grams of water will you get? Hint: Don’t forget to balance the equation. Calculate a gram to gram stoichiometry problem from 14.0 grams of aluminum hydroxide to grams of water (this is your theoretical yield) % yield = (actual yield / theoretical yield) x 100% If you recovered 8.5 g of water from the reaction, what is the percent yield?
