CORRECT! The changes in the Final Rule bring the regulations and definitions into compliance with the ADAAA. It also makes them consistent with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) updated ADA regulations. See changes necessitated by the passage of the ADAAA and Final Rule FAQ. There is only one standard for the ADA and Section 503 nondiscrimination requirements and all rules are consistent with EEOC. The word "disability" and its component parts are made consistent with the definitions resulting from the passage of the ADAAA , which amends both the ADA and Section 503; and the terms "individual with a disability" and "qualified individual with a disability" are changed to "disability" and "qualified individual," respectively, in accordance with the ADAAA.
