Nuclear family: 2 parents and one or more children Single parent family: one parent and one or more children Blended family: formed when 2 people marry at least one has a child from a previous relationship Extended family: one or two parents and children as well as other relatives such as grandparents.

You will use the following key to know exactly what toppings will reflect what: Topping Family Life Cycle Stage Pepperoni # of people you have in your family Yellow Cheese Strands Reflects if you have multiple genders of siblings in your home Orange Cheese Strands Reflects if you have one gender of siblings in your home Sausage (Launching) If you have any older siblings that have moved out Olives (Aging) If you have any nieces or nephews /if your parents are soon to be retired Mushrooms (Expanding) If you have toddlers or babies in your family Green Peppers (Developing) If you have any children that are from ages 6-20 still living at home

Does everyone’s pizza look different? How is this like our own families? Is there a type of pizza that’s better? Even if your pizza is changing, isn’t it still essentially just a pizza? How can knowing what stage your family is in help strengthen your family?
