Hebrews 11:1 Faith is core to Christianity.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Greek word for “hope” is New Testament usage is always used in positive expectation of good things.

Hebrews 11:1 Algebra’s Transitive Property of Equality. … if A=B, B=C, then A=C. A=B Hope is always positive. B=C Faith is the substance of things hoped for. A=C Therefore, Faith is always positive. A negative Christian is an oxy- moron.

The Negative Disposition of Man
Part of the fall and the sinful nature. One of the words for “sin” is kakos. This is the disposition of sin which is being negative.

Hebrews 11:6. Without positive faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, applying deductive reasoning, being negative displeases God. God is a rewarder of positive faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Robert Schuller- to win non- religious people to Christ, had to use phrases they could relate to… “Faith” he explained as “Positive thinking”. This is NOT secular positive thinking (a poor counterfeit), but positive thinking rooted in God and His Word.
