1 Project 8: Internet of Hospital Things (IoHT): Communication to Facilitate Healing REU Student: Brandon Belna Graduate mentors: Myungho Lee, Kangsoo Kim, Ryan Schubert Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Greg Welch and Dr. Gerd Bruder Week 5 (June 19 – June 23, 2017) Accomplishments: Began work on a Bluetooth communicator and listener within the Unity project Began work on a simple Arduino application which listens for a signal through Bluetooth Thoroughly studied UWP Rfcomm Bluetooth API Received Bluetooth shield from Amazon Issues/problems encountered and solutions (if any): Need headers for Arduino to attach Bluetooth shield before I can test any preliminary code Plans for next week: Acquire headers for Arduino so the Bluetooth shield can be attached to the Arduino Get current Unity code to compile and deploy onto HoloLens Set up connection between Arduino and HoloLens through HoloLens OS Hopefully if all of that works out, create code that successfully sends Bluetooth signals to the Arduino
