About Ratan Tata One of the most well-known and respected industrialists in India, Ratan Tata, is the Chairman of the Tata Group. Born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, In 1981, he became the Chairman of Tata Industries and was instrumental in ushering in a wide array of reforms.

The car has 21% more volume than much popular Maruti 800.
The Tata Rs 1-lakh car was launched today at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi by Chairman Ratan Tata. Mr. Tata said that the car meets all safety and emission norms and emissions are lower than two wheelers. The car has 21% more volume than much popular Maruti 800.

Tata Nano Diesel Car Till date the world’s cheapest car, Tata Nano Car version show cased was the Petrol version. Now as the Fuel Price is souring high, Reports from the economic Times said that Tata Nano will finally get the Diesel Engine. The Engine will be 800cc twin-cylinder turbocharged common-rail diesel engine which has been developed by power train firm FEV, Bosch and Honeywell and basically designed, in accordance with the Indian market.

Now that the Road show for the Tata Nano car is set, for its release in short time, TATA MOTORS sources reveled by the Managing Director Mr. Ravi Kant, that the Company is exploring on Electric vehicle. Prior to this TATA MOTORS initiated a development contract with Chrysler’s electric vehicle unit Global Electric Motorcars (GEM) to develop and market an electric version of its light commercial vehicle Ace for sale in the United States.

Features of Nano car It can comfortably seat four persons. Four doors with high seating position make ingress and egress easy. Yet with a length of 3.1 metres, width of 1.5 metres and height of 1.6 metres, with adequate ground clearance, it can effortlessly manoeuvre on busy roads in cities as well as in rural areas.

Environment-friendly
The People’s Car’s tailpipe emission performance exceeds regulatory requirements. In terms of overall pollutants, it has a lower pollution level than two-wheelers being manufactured in India today. The high fuel efficiency also ensures that the car has low carbon dioxide emissions, thereby providing the twin benefits of an affordable transportation solution with a low carbon footprint.

Nano car in sanand After a controversial stay in West Bengal, Tatas on Tuesday shifted their Rs one-lakh car Nano project to Sanand near Ahmedabad at an investment of Rs 2,000 crore, delcaring that efforts will be made to roll out the world's cheapest car from a make-shift plant to meet the deadline.

This is an extremely momentous and happy day for us because we have been through a rather sad experience from a small quarter of residents of West Bengal despite the state government's efforts," Tata Group Chief Ratan Tata said at a joint press conference with Cheif Minister Narendra Modi. Gujarat was one of many states in the race for Nano car manufacturing facility. Tatas and Gujarat have started a new chapter of partnership which will give a new direction and dimension to the state.
