10 crash carts with defibrillators 4 automated dispensing cabinets 3 pneumatic tube stations 2 medication rooms 1 FTE pharmacist

Codes (blue, sepsis, STEMI, stroke) Ingestions/Toxicology Medical Emergencies Traumas Emergent medication preparation Communication between ED and inpatient pharmacy Drug Information Chart Review Ensure TJC compliance

My goals for pharmacy in the ED
24/7 pharmacist staffing Culture surveillance and response Pharmacy technicians/students to obtain medication histories on all admitted patients Lobby for legislative changes Administration of parenteral medications during emergencies
