Types of Tradeshows Women’s Expos Health Fairs Bridal Shows
Test other types of tradeshows AFTER you have been successful at the main three. Gluten-free shows, Pinterest shows, craft shows, and gun shows are not as good. Stay away from events where people are already healthy such as 5Ks, marathons, or body building conventions. Other events: farmers’ markets & local festivals (anywhere that women and/or families are gathering that allows you to set up a booth)
3
How to Find Events Near You
Convention center or hotel that hosts tradeshows: Visit their website and check their calendar of events. Search Google for events within 15 miles from your zip code, such as: Women’s health events within 15 miles of 84109 Bridal event expos near Murray, Utah Health fairs within 20 minutes of xxx Test & try different combinations of key words and you will be amazed at what pops up Community Event Calendars: TV & radio stations Chamber of Commerce City websites

Don’t Forget: Tradeshows are Seasonal
Heavy in the spring (February-May) Slows down over the summer (there are few to none) We focus heavy on Corporate Lunches in summer to offset not having tradeshows. This is where smaller community events are good. Heavy again in the fall (August-October) Slow in winter (most are themed around holidays)

How to Set Up Your Booth Lay the carpet on the ground of the booth.
Place the table in the front center of your booth, with room for employees to stand on either side while working. Cover the table with a table cloth and place signs, entry basket, plants, and services brochures on the table. Place 6-8 chairs in the empty space with 3-4 on each side, facing inward. People will want to sit in your booth just to rest. Place a clipboard, pen, and entry forms (attached) on each chair. Hang the Inch Loss Banner high and in back to attract people to your booth. Place 2 retractable banners on each side of the hanging banner (based on event type). Use the Slim & Slender Retractable Banner and the Bridal Back Fat Retractable Banner for bridal shows or the Retractable Before and After Banner for women’s shows and other health-related events.

How to Set Up Your Booth

Strategy & Goals Keep it Simple!
Master the simple successful booth first. There are a lot of things you can do at a booth such as SMT, Vital Scan, massage, etc. Don’t try any of these until you have MASTERED the simple and successful booth that is guaranteed to work, then you can test other strategies if you feel you need to. Your two strategies for every event are: Enter to Win Buy it for Cheap Always do Enter to Win/Buy it for Cheap if at least 2 employees are working the event. Always set a goal for the number of leads you want to collect each day at the event. Offer a bonus if your goal is met.

How to Work the Booth Who is working the booth matters!
They must look the part in how they dress, do their hair, and wear their make up. They must be personable, happy, fun, and outgoing. They must be willing to approach every single person that walks by your booth… “Enter to win a free Body Contouring Package where you can lose 4-14 inches in one hour!” They must be willing to walk up and down the aisles and around the arena to get leads. They must be passionate about your program and have their own story to share. They must be confident and able to clearly and concisely explain what you do in an “elevator speech”
12
How to Follow Up After the Event
Remember…everyone is a winner! Call all entries within 48 hours. These are the funnest calls to make. We often add an extra seminar for 2 consecutive weeks to accommodate the winners. Use the entry forms to weed out your leads and pre-qualify based on your schedule. If you have an open schedule, take everyone and try to sell and practice your close. If your schedule is full, pre-qualify based on location, age, amount of weight to lose etc. (you decide)
