3. The campaign aims to provide simple and practical burglary prevention advice to at risk residents. The advice will be visible (posters, signage, literature) to act as both a reminder to residents and a deterrent to criminals. 8. Specific Interventions 25,385 households lie within the hotspot areas, accounting for 28% of burglary incidents in the last year. All households will receive a direct-mail piece highlighting prevention advice as well as a window sticker. In the worst affected areas, 2,403 households will be visited by GMP Officers, and trained volunteers who will distribute the materials and offer face to face advice. The remaining 22,982 houses will have the materials delivered by a third-party distribution company.
