The Right to an Education: Article 28
2
Benefits of an Education
People with more education have knowledge and skills to perform higher-level employment roles. Other benefits include improved health, more stable families, improved environments and lower crime rates. If all students in low-income countries left school with basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty. This is equal to a 12% cut in global poverty. Children of educated mothers are more likely to be vaccinated and less likely to be stunted because of malnourishment.
