Located next to the Pacific Ocean, British Columbia is the westernmost province in Canada.

BC has a population of around 4.4 million people, making it the third most populous province BC is the fifth largest province, and is largely covered by forests and mountains

BC’s largest city, Vancouver, is one of the largest cities in Canada and is an important economic and cultural center for Western Canada. Around half of all British Columbians live in or near Vancouver.

Because of its forests and mineral resources, BC has an economy that is mostly based on resources.
Forestry is an important industry, as well as mining. In the valleys between the mountains, farming is very important, especially in the southern parts of the province.

British Columbia is divided into different regions based on its geography, mainly by rivers and mountain ranges. These regions can be very large, and often have quite different landscapes and economies
