Psalm 139:7-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” 12 Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. 13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.

Psalm 139:14-18 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.

Genesis 3:8-10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.”

Don’t hide in fright, but reside in His light!
Psalm 139:11-12 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” 12 Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. John 1:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
7
Don’t hide in fright, but reside in His light!
1 Peter 2:9 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Ephesians 5:13-14 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 13 But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”

2. It’s time to stop hiding, and start seeking!
9
What are you seeking, first?
Matthew 6:33-34 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
10
3. We need to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness FIRST!
11
Seek Him first in your day
Mark 1:35 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 35 In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there. Joshua 6:12 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 12 Now Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. Genesis 19:27 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 27 Now Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the Lord;
12
Seek Him first in your day
“The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day.” – E.M. Bounds
13
Seek Him first in your work
Colossians 3:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Matthew 20:28 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
14
Seek Him first in your resources
Malachi 3:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. 1 Samuel 30:24 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 24 And who will listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who stays by the baggage; they shall share alike.”
15
4. The only place we should hide, is in Him!
16
Hide, abide, reside in Him!
Psalm 36:7 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. John 15:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
