WORKS CITED A citation (needed for each quote, summary, or paraphrase of published material) has 2 parts: The Works Cited at the end of the paper and The Internal Citation in the body of the paper -
8
Works Cited (or Consulted)
Easybib.com makes creating citations EASY! Works Cited centered at top of last page--no bold, quotation marks, or italics Running header 1” margins ALL double spaced Hanging indent = 1st line at margin, all others indented Alphabetical order
9
INTERNAL CITATIONS Add your own words to a quote. The quote must be part of one of your sentences! Use the FIRST word of the full citation in parenthesis at the end of the sentence. Period AFTER the parentheses! Best: Sandwich the quote in between your own words. Begin and end the sentence with your words, inserting the quote smoothly and grammatically into the middle. Ex: Civilians felt that they were “disregarded within the human race” during the occupation (Hill).
10
INTERNAL CITATIONS Here is another example: Carl Gauss was very likely a genius; this is obvious because he made “almost all of his fundamental mathematical discoveries between the ages of 14 and 17,” long before he was an adult (Constantine).
11
Summary / Paraphrase All summarized or paraphrased text must also be given proper credit. At the end of the sentence or paragraph containing the borrowed ideas, give citation.

Cover page (if required)
ALL double spaced Center all text Same font size as the rest of the paper
