June 1, 2015 – City Council adopted:
Level 2 Water Supply Shortage Plan (watering 2 days/week summer; 1 day/week winter)
28% reduction compared to 2013 usage
Although water supply conditions have improved the impact of the drought continues
State emergency water conservation regulations extended through November 2017
State is strengthening long-term water conservation planning
State continues to evolve policy supporting water use efficiency and conservation as a way of life in California
Pasadena has conserved water at unprecedented levels and must continue to build on conservation success
A 20 percent voluntary conservation target maintains water conservation levels and positions Pasadena for compliance with “20x2020” requirement in SB X7-7.
