The people who heard Jesus preach were amazed at His teachings:

4. 1. One church is NOT as good as another
“Be sure to attend the church of your choice tomorrow.”
That spirit has produced over 40,000 “Christian” denominations.
That spirit is the “spirit of error”: 1 Jn. 4:6
Church is the body of Christ: Col. 1:18
Only “one body”: Eph. 4:4
Thus, Christ built only “one church”: cf. Matt. 16:18

5. 1. One church is NOT as good as another
Are the churches Christ did not build as good as the one He did build?
Jesus said, “Every plant, which My Heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up.” Matt. 15:13
Did Jesus think one church is as good as another?!
Jesus “is the head of the church” and “He is the Savior of the body”: Col. 1:18; Eph. 5:23
Means “saved” are in the “one body,” the “church.”

6. 2. Christ will NOT reign on earth for 1,000 years
>80% of people claiming to be “Christians” believe that.
No verse teaches that: Some verses mention a 1,000 years, but it’s figurative: 2 Pet. 3:7-8; Rev. 20:4; 1:1
Bible gives at least three clear facts indicating Christ will NOT return to reign on the earth for 1,000 years.
When He comes it will be “the end”: 1 Cor. 15:23-24
When He comes the earth will be destroyed: 2 Pet. 3:10
He will not set foot on earth again: 1 Thess. 4:16-17

3. No Holy Days
Bible does not teach Christ born on December 25th.
8 “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

“In 325CE the Council of Nicaea established that Easter would be held on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the vernal equinox. (i.e., March 21).”

Bible doesn’t even mention three “wise men” : Matt. 2:1, 11
Bible does not authorize a Holy Day called “Easter”: Acts 12:4
“Easter” from Greek pascha, 28 times translated passover in KJV; translated passover all 29 times in other versions (ASV, NASV, NKJV, NIV).

8. 4. No Reverend, Pastor, and Father
The term “reverend” is reserved for God alone: Psa. 111:9
Shouldn’t be using the term to describe men!
Elevating men condemned by the Lord! Lk. 22:24-27
Pastors are elders/overseers; not necessarily preachers: Acts 20:17, 28; 1 Pet. 5:1-2; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9
Denominational pastors are local CEO of congregation and preacher; not so in New Testament: 2 Tim. 4:5
Also, some call preacher “Father”; not so in New Testament: Matt. 23:9

9. 5. “rejoice” and “forgive one another”
It may come as a surprise these are commands: Phil. 4:4; Eph. 4:32
There are good reasons to naturally, logically and willingly obey these commands:
God has solved our greatest problem: Rom. 5:8; 8:32
God has given us a grand hope: Titus 1:2; Heb. 6:19-20
We are “one in Christ Jesus” : Acts 17:26; Gal. 3:28

6. “faith” is a “work”
Jesus said so: “This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hat sent.” Jn. 6:29
If saved by “faith only,” then we are saved by “works only”!
If “works” do not save, then we are not saved by “faith”!
Truth is simple: We are saved by an active, “working” faith: Jas. 2:24-26; Eph. 2:8-10

True except the “arrogance” thing: 2 Tim. 2:10; Acts 4:12
Christ is “the Savior of the body” and His “body” is the church; and there’s only “one body”: Eph. 5:23; 4:4; Col. 1:18
Church purchased w/Christ’s blood: Acts 20:28
Church built by Christ: Matt. 16:18
Christ is the foundation of the church: 1 Cor. 3:11
Church is the “fulness” of Christ: Eph. 1:22-23

Most believe you “join” the church; true for denominational churches, not church of Christ: Acts 2:47
You can’t be saved in a denomination!
Jesus will save only those He adds to His church!
Acts 2:47; Eph. 5:23; 4:4; 1:22-23
Which church do you want to belong to?!
People on Pentecost did not “join” the church; were “added” to it by the Lord: Acts 2:47
The Lord “added” people to the church when they obeyed the gospel:
Hear: Rom. 10:17; 2 Thess. 2:13-14; Rom. 1:16-17
Believe: Heb. 11:6; Jn. 8:24
Confess: Rom. 10:10
Repent: Acts 2:38; 17:30
Baptized: Mk. 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; Gal. 3:27

13. 8. Not all in body of Christ saved
Only those remaining faithful will be saved: Rev. 2:10
Which category are you in?
Some, once sanctified by the blood of Christ, will turn aside and be lost: Heb. 10:26-29
Hebrew writer describes two types of Christians:
Those that “live by faith” and do not “draw back”; “them that believe to the saving of the soul.”
Those that “draw back unto perdition”; “them that DO NOT believe to the saving of the soul.”

Bible teaches many more shocking things.

Did you know the vast majority of people are going to hell?
Sounds harsh, but do you know who reveals this sobering fact? Jesus! Matt. 7:13-14
Only two roads in life:
Road less traveled “which leadeth to life” and “few there be that find it.”
Road traveled by the “many” “that leads to destruction.”
