28 UNWEIGHTED: THOSE WHO ANSWERED THE MOBILE SURVEY, TOTAL PHILIPPINES: BILANG PILIPINO SWS MOBILE SURVEY, MAR 14 TO MAY 31, 2016 Mar 14 Mar 21 Mar 28 Apr 04 Apr 11 Apr 18 Apr 25 May 03 May 09 May 16 May 23 May 30 10 30 50 70 Average Total PH 54.3% % of validated voters 42%

29 Final Comments (1/2) The panel mobile survey is a pioneering effort in the Philippines to utilize mobile digital technology for scientific, rapid opinion tracking of a statistically representative national panel of voters (not opt-in panels) Given the panel structure, the background information and much other information are collected only once, saving a lot of time Requires large initial investment, but can be compensated by lower fieldwork costs after

30 Final Comments (2/2) With 54% average response rate, target sample needs to be doubled or examine other means to increase response rates (e.g. SMS reminders, additional incentives) Telecommunication facilities need to be considered Probability based online panel can be data collection method for the future in the Philippines
