About 200 currently under conversion
50 new requests for EHC assessments, of which we have agreed 41
In a full year we have previously received about 120 requests for statutory assessment, and issued about 100 Statements

6. Challenges
Biggest change for a generation – a major culture shift for, schools, education department, social care and health - new ways of working are still bedding in.
The new assessment process is better, but more time consuming – and the statutory timeframe is shorter
Providing statutory advice within revised timeframes is a significant challenge for Health and Social Care.
About 920 Statements. Carrying out the conversions well – not just a paper exercise – is a massive task
We do make mistakes. When we get it wrong we aim to put it right as quickly as possible. E.g. we will be amending the EHC Needs Assessment request form, and process, following representation from C404.

7. Challenges
Holding schools to account – Schools Information Report, Ofsted, funding
When the voice of the young person and the voice of the parent / carer say different things
Preparing for adulthood. Transition planning; children’s and adults’ services working together.
0 – 25 because
A young person may need additional time to complete a course of study; not
That anyone with an EHCP should expect to stay in education until they are 25
