Signing-Up to Volunteer
As a parent, you may sign-up for ONE TIME slot for each child attending the trip. i.e. Your child, John Doe, will be attending the trip. You may sign up to work only one time slot. i.e. Your high school children, John Doe and Jane Doe, will both be attending the trip. As a parent, you may sign up to work two separate time slots or both parents may sign up to work same time slot. i.e. – Your high school child, John Doe is attending. So is his little 7th grade brother, Fred. You may only sign up for ONE TIME slot for John Doe. Funds are only available for the HIGH SCHOOL students attending the trip as performing members of the Abernathy Band.
8
Signing-Up Once everyone has had sufficient time to sign-up, a 2nd will be sent allowing for you to sign up for additional times. Every sign up slot is filled based on the time stamps within communication. These slots are for adults only!
9
Student Sign-ups Student sign ups are posted in the band hall.
Your child must sign up on his/her own time – not during band rehearsal. Like adults, students may only sign up for one time slot at first. School day requirements…

This is an example of how the work units are figured:
Disbursement of funds This is an example of how the work units are figured: As the parent, you signed up and worked 2 units. Your child also signed up and was able to work 3.5 units (multiple units are common during spring events). Total units worked by your family = 5.5
11
This is an example: (dollar figures will vary per fundraiser)
Disbursement of funds This is an example: (dollar figures will vary per fundraiser) The profit from the event was $ with a total of 75 manpower hours worked. Each unit worked will receive $16.00. 5.5 units x $16 = $88.00 earned from event
